What's actually broken?

Almost every garage door spring failure in Kanata falls into one of two categories. Knowing which one you have helps us bring the right parts on the first visit.

Torsion springs (the modern standard)

Mounted on a shaft above the door opening. They twist to lift the door instead of stretching. Why springs break in Kanata winters
